THE TRUSTEES of the GRANGE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
Born in 1955 and grew up in East Sussex, Mike moved to the area 25 years ago. He was on the staff at the Grange Community Centre for over 17 years. He was Centre Manager for the last 4 years of the old Grange and led the team to many innovations and exciting changes. He also led the team into the new Grange Centre.
Mike is a former distance runner, with two local clubs, and ran the London Marathon three times. He is now a keen road cyclist and concentrates mostly on time trialling.
Mike became a Trustee in 2014.
Judy was born in Midhurst and has lived here for 37 years in all. In her career she has been a social worker, a drama teacher, a travel guide and and an interviewer and secretary.
Judy has had a long relationship with the Grange Community Centre having worked there for West Sussex County Council Social Services from 1986 to 1995 and is currently a volunteer for RVT, the charity which took over from WSCC.
Judy is a Town Councillor, is a volunteer with the Midhurst Museum and has been a Trustee since approx 2005 and is the Membership Secretary for GCA.
Julian is a local lad having been educated at Easebourne Primary, Midhurst Intermediate and Midhurst Grammar schools.
Apart from brief spells away, Julian has lived in the area almost all of his life. He is a partner in Goodale Mardle, the local accounting and taxation practice.
Julian has been a Trustee since approx1995 and sat on the Executive with his father, Frank, who was involved with the charity and the Centre from its earliest days.
Julian became the Treasurer of the Trustees in 2015
Joan moved to Sussex in 1995. Joan was the Clerk to the Midhurst Town Council from 1996 till 2015.
Joan has lived in Dorset, Surrey and the West Midlands and has been, amongst other things, a Consumer Advice Officer and an EEC analyst.
Joan is married with three adult children and two grand-daughter.
Joan became a Trustee in 2011.
Keith lives in Pendean and is in his second stint as a Trustee, having rejoined in 2011.
He is a director of a motor vehicles sales and service company in Haslemere and he is a keen squash player.
Graham was born and educated in New Zealand and has degrees in several fields. He had a successful business career where he was a Chairman of a number of listed and private companies as well as executive Directors of a numerous of others. Graham retired at the age of 51. Since then he has spent time working for numerous organisations, including the Midhurst Community Bus, local sports clubs and a number of charities, particularly in Graffham when he lived in the village.
He has lived in the local area since 1979.
He became a Trustee in 2003.
Dave is a fourth generation Midhurstian and is well known, with his brother Tim, as the local historians. He is a member of the Midhurst Society, the Midhurst Garden Club the Double LL Club. He is also a founder member and vice-chairman of the Midhurst Museum.
He works at the Pendean Nursing Home and has been there over 40 years.
Dave is a collector of many things, largely related to Midhurst, including a yellow Midhurst Land-rover fire appliance which was first registered in 1960.
Dave organised the Autojumble and Collectomania days at the Grange which have been a feature of the Centre for many years.}
